These be the Ones That Rot Ye Brain
Comics. They're the lightener to the black sewage called news that surrounds them. Why for so many years have we been tempted to read them and try to follow them? Why must we read Charlie Brown just so we can see him say, "Good Grief?" Could it possibly be that this phrase and others like this are just there to brain wash us politically?
Sure, we all know that Doonsbury, Mallard Fillmore, Boondocks, and Mary Worth are peddling the own little agendas and they do not hide them. They are there to make you think in terms of the party that they speak.
For example, Doonsbury and Boondocks always paint out Bush as a war mongering old coke head who spends his day waiting by the phone waiting for Jesus to give him a call. Mallard Fillmore uses Nazi-style drawing to depict non-Republicans as swine and rats. Mary Worth, the most obscene of these cartoons, uses her level headed thinking and strait arrow attitude as a thinly veils platform for the Free Masons.
I have found examples of this bias in cartoons that won't admit their politics to the people, but their agenda can be seen.

Family Circus: The Terror From Within
Today's Family Circus was a seven paneled debacle that was disgraceful at best. With little Jeffy (who coincidentally looks a lot like Barry Goldwater), asked for a cookie and the mother made him ask politely and then after he did, she refused him the cookie in a harsh and awful way. Some would say it was cute, but if you really look it was a hidden message for privatization of Social Security. Shame on you Bil Keane!!
Jeffy symbolized the public and the mother as the government. The cookies were clearly the checks that are handed out to the people for their living expensed and the refusal to hand them out after Jeffy went through all the rules was the call for the overhaul of the entire system.
For Better or Worse: The Imminent Invasion From Canada
The feature of today was a nice little strip that showed the mother of the family at her bookstore and her dismay over how much she hated winter.
Soon one of her cohorts enters and tells her to, “go home” because of her lack of motivation and her dreary demeanor. Well let me tell you friends, this was no ordinary cartoon, rather this was a war call for the socialized health care system of Canada and its implementation within the good ole US of A.
LOUSEY CANUCKS!! What is with these people? Soon with strips like this it won’t be long before their burning the American flag in Times Square and fueling it with maple syrup!! Shame on you Lynn Johnston!
Keep your eyes peeled and your lips shut, because if you don’t you will fall victim to these insolent folks and their need to push their petty agendas!
